Solitude in the Valley

This was one of those moments when Yosemite felt unusually quiet. There was no dramatic light or sudden change—just a steady stillness that settled across the valley and through the still Merced River. What stood out to me was how the space felt more intimate than expansive. I wasn’t drawn to a single subject. Instead, it was the feeling of being there—the quiet, the balance, the absence of distraction. “Solitude in the Valley” came from that experience.
